Under Awaab’s Law, landlords are required to resolve emergency hazards, including damp and mould, within 24 hours of identification. Other repairs must follow legal deadlines to ensure compliance.
While it’s ideal for tenants to be present during the survey for easier access to all parts of the property, it’s not strictly necessary. Arrangements can be made for surveys without tenant attendance if preferred.
